Why are tea cups small?
I own a cast-iron japanese teacup, and a tetsubin to go with it. But I’ve always wondered why the cups to drinking tea are so small! The cup I have, only holds 3 ounces.
It is because that it is the traditional Japanese way, to serve a small amount.
