Does this sound like a good katana / ninja sword?
39.5″ Overall with a 27″ sharpened, hand forged, high carbon steel blade with simulated temper. Genuine same handle wrap and high quality black cotton ito. Wooden saya with black lacquer finish, tsuba features a warrior motive.
Also could you reccomend a good website where i can buy functional katanas in the uk for about £50?

Not really. If it has a simulated temper that means that the hamon is probably fake. Meaning that it’s probably not very strong. You’re not going to find a “functional” sword that can be used for tameshigiri for much under $500 (American Dollars). If you want a real katana then it’s going to run you about $10,000. Anything less will be a cheap display sword good for nothing but decoration.
