Any ideas of what i should do for my Sculpture assessment in art?
ive got to think up an idea for a sculpture i can make for my assessment in art. but my sort of theme is ‘transformation of the every day’ im a bit stuck for ideas. if you can help that would be great : ) also what do you think of sculpture?

I don’t know what kind of things you are interested in. But two possibilities which come to mind is using everyday objects and making something really imaginative out of it (go to a thrift store for stuff). You could even make a pretty small object, and put a strong light source behind it, and use for display not the object but the shadow it casts. That’s plenty of transformation. Make a mystery vehicle out of toy part, the shadow of which allows you (or you shadow) to sit in it?
Or you can investigage the role of advertising/packaging design plays to entice us in buying food or whatever. Take food/packages and modify them. Take some effort to make it good (handdrawn mustaches on faces probably won’t cut it). You could change colors, like overpaint all the red colors by blue or black, change out faces, you have to get a bit imaginative there, after all it’s your project.
generally the subject leaves you really wide scope for your imagination, all you have to do is go into your kitchen and incorporate whatever you find there into the type of sculpture you usually do (cutlery is always pretty easy to use).
