Lucky Charm Cereal is cereals choice of maximum Americans. The taste and the nutritional values obtained from cereal are good for health. The Lucky Charm Cereal was made by General Mills and it launched in stores in 1964. The cereal contains two things oats and colored marshmallow. The marshmallows contain in the cereal is 25% and are in various shapes and colors. Such quality in the cereals makes a healthy breakfast. John Holahan created Lucky the animated character for cereal promotions. The full name of lucky is leprechaun promoted charm shaped bracelet. It was created in 1963 and the voice was given by Arthur Anderson until 1992. The oat meal cereal was sugar coated to meet the expectation which eventually increased the sales of cereals. The marshmallow bits were changed on regular basis which will connect with consumer especially the young ones. The coloring of the marbits and shapes were changed as per the consumers demand. The creative team is working on creative ways the marshmallow can be presented to the consumer with different taste and looks. With trail and error they are launching cereals.
Recently Lucky charms have created song for advertisement. The song “White Fluffy Frosted Lucky Charms, they’re magically delicious!” was instant hit. It became the second name for Lucky Charm cereals. In the early days the only the Irish tune was known for Lucky Charm Cereals. The song and the rhythm are in everyone’s mouth.
The shapes of marshmallow in Lucky Charm in early days were hearts, moon, stars and cloves; also they were colored in various different colors. Over the years the marshmallow bits grew bigger and bright colors were used. The shapes of the marshmallow bits were also changed. Some new marshmallow bit were introduced which changed when in contact with liquid, these were named as “hidden key”. After the liquid was added the sugar would dissolve. The hourglass and swirl are the latest addition in the marshmallow bit.
Since its launch Lucky Charm Cereal has introduced the limited edition that appeared only once. In 1986 a whale shaped marshmallow bit was launched in limited edition. Later pine tree shapes were introduced, star and balloon combined were launch for a short time, six pointed star was added to the balloon. Later the star was removed from balloon to separate star and balloon. New sparkling rainbow was added to cereal for a limited time in 1999/2000.
Lucky Charm has evolved the quality of their cereals with consumers demand. Lucky charm contains the nutrition and minerals required for the body through cereal grains. Lucky charm cereal has variety of taste in the cereal. Choose the cereal as per your taste and need since the cereals packet comes in size.
