Japan Netsuke
Please help me come up with an idea for my final piece of art GCSE?

Basically, my theme is Japan. (I am aware of the recent tragedy that has hit Japan, but please just bear with me). Baically, in my final piece, I would like to do something along the lines of a landscape, but it has to be unique. In my piece, I would like a bonsai tree, and some “netsuke” fingurines to be placed around my picture. I would like my piece to be slightly abstract also. Please help me, I am stuck for ideas.
don`t know much about landscape but im awesome at abstract you can abstract the sun by making it wavy and out of proportion using unusual colors would be a good abstraction technique (blue sun red building purple ground) you can also add patterns to the building or make them silhouettes
their is a bunch of stuff you can do you can look at some of my work although i dont have any japanese or landscapes ( i dont think) but it may inspire you (i hope)
