What do you cook in your cast iron pot?
I have a new cast iron pot and not sure that I am in love yet with the foods that I cam cooking in there. I heard not to put acid based foods like tomatoes so that means not taste. I made a stew with wine and didn’t love it like I do in my old pots. What would you cook in a cast iron pot?
I love using mine for blackened fish and chicken. It holds a high temperature very well without causing the food to stick. You should also avoid using soap on the cast iron, if possible. The pores will hold the flavor and make for a bitter taste in future dishes.
