Chinese Soapstone

Japanese characters on old stamping blocks?
http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk80/besunny/japanesesoapstoneimages.jpg
I get from other sources that these are soapstone depictions of Chinese temple lions, altho they were acquired in Japan in late 1945 by a member of the US Military Occupation Army.
Can anyone translate the inscriptions? (I don;t know if I have them positioned properly.) Or add a little more as to what they may represent?
The second photo has the inscriptions on bottom of blocks. Hard to read, I may have to re-photograph and repost question.
Also, as they were made to be stamped, you have to read them in reverse!
One looks like it has an American name on it. Were these made in Occupied Japan as tourist items for the US soldiers?
Yes, let me find an ink pad I have around here and rephotograph and repost
One reads AL SCHRAMA (Assume it’s a person’s name).
The characters on it are 愛舒拉馬 Pronounced in Mandarin Chinese as Ai shu la ma. Obviously a representaion of Al’s name. The meaning of the individual characters is immaterial here.
The other one is harder to make out. Any chance you could use an ink pad and print the chop on a piece of paper and post a picture of the printed version? That could help a lot.

The aesthetic is somewhat austere and can be interpreted as a cross section of Chinese thought. On the one hand, the camel represents s… |
