Discover How To Navigate Hartsfield Airport Just Like A Native
Prior to graduating, all Atlanta high school students need to commit to memory a map of the Hartsfield airport. For you to graduate signifies that you’ve passed the test and are able to legally be called an Atlanta citizen. You are then free to dwell among the Atlantans.
Okay, so I’m telling lies.
Knowing your way around Hartsfield is actually an unofficial test to demonstrate your worthiness as a local. Individuals renting Atlanta apartments, condos, or homes with the intention of remaining here for a while, you’ll want to learn your way throughout the airport to achieve street cred. (Friends and family visiting from out of town will be thankful, too).
Fortunately, the airport was designed wonderfully. Hartsfield-Jackson International airport is a behemoth of a structure. It’s the busiest passenger airport on this planet, with more than 90 million travellers annually. So far as I understand, not one of the 90 million have been permanently lost within the passages. Probably the most challenging things about the Atlanta airport is getting there. Apartments in Atlanta are dispersed out of the city center to the numerous suburbs surrounding the city. Regardless of where you are originating from you can count on some significant traffic, so prepare yourself.
The airport is a massive arrow (one long vertical corridor having a triangular head) with six perpendicular passages that intersect the body of the arrow. Toward the top of the arrowhead is where you’ll find all check-in areas and luggage claim carousels. Behind them you will come across the security check points.
When you’re out of security you’ll go into the body of the arrow. This primary corridor contains a train station. This train will bring you straight through the middle of the six perpendicular corridors. Each hall is known as a Concourse. Each is labeled by using a letter. For some inexplicable reason, Concourse T is actually first (nearest to the arrow head) followed by the more sensible A-E.
In the event you don’t desire to take the train, it is possible to walk. But unless you’ve set some type of weight loss goal, don’t make the effort. It’s one of the largest and most hectic airports on this planet. Save the fatigue and take the train.
Your ticket will tell you what concourse you need to go to. Each concourse is then divided into numbered gates. Generally, gates 1-20 are in the right branch of the corridor and gates 20+ are to the left.
Beginning to feel just like an Atlanta local? No? Study up prior to your vacation travels!

Barbra – The Concert : Live at Arrowhead Pond [VHS] $1.80 In the wake of MTV, disco, and the rise of reality-based television and 24/7 gossip, the notion of the pop diva has become commonplace, the title conferred on an increasingly broad (and dubious) array of ladies who sing. Consider this brilliant 1994 concert special, originally aired on cable, both as a warning about the debasement of the term, and as a primer on how a true pop diva comports hers… |
